Privacy Policy
Last updated 31 August 2026
This is the personal site of Artem Okhten. It hosts a portfolio, a resume, and a set of tools that run in your browser. There is no account to create, no newsletter and no contact form, so the site has no way to collect your name, address or payment details and does not ask for them.
Files you open in the tools never leave your device
Every tool here runs entirely inside your browser: the PDF and image workspaces, the QR generator, the favicon generator, the ebook reader and the text tools. When you drop in a PDF or a photo it is read, processed and saved back by your own device. Nothing is uploaded, nothing is stored on a server, and nobody else can see it. Closing the tab is all it takes to remove it.
This is not a promise layered over a normal upload service — it is how the tools are built. It also means the site cannot recover a file for you, and cannot be made to hand one over, because it never had it.
What is stored in your browser
Some tools remember what you were doing so a refresh does not lose it. This lives in your browser on your own device, is never transmitted anywhere, and can be cleared at any time through your browser settings.
- Word counter, markdown previewer and text diff — the text you typed
- Date calculator — the dates you entered
- Ebook reader — your reading theme
- Site-wide — whether you chose the light or dark theme
Analytics
The site uses Google Analytics 4 and Vercel Analytics to count page views and see which pages get used. Analytics measures traffic rather than profiling people, and it is kept separate from advertising: analytics never uses advertising storage, and turning advertising off does not turn measurement off.
In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland no analytics cookie is set unless you accept one. Visits are still counted, but without anything stored in your browser that could identify you across sessions.
Individual colour pages are recorded as one collapsed entry rather than separately, so which specific colour someone viewed is not information the site keeps.
Advertising
Tool pages may show advertising supplied by Google AdSense to cover hosting costs. The resume and portfolio pages carry no advertising.
Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on prior visits to this or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies lets it and its partners serve ads based on your visit to this site and other sites on the internet.
Where you are changes what happens by default. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, no advertising cookie is set and no advertising signal is sent until you answer the consent message — the default is no. Decline it and you still get the tools in full; the ads simply become non-personalised. Outside those regions, personalised advertising is on by default, and the two opt-out links below turn it off.
You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings, and opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info/choices. Ad blockers work here as they do anywhere — nothing on this site detects them or asks you to switch them off.
Hosting and server logs
The site is hosted on Vercel, which keeps standard request logs — IP address, user agent, requested URL and timestamp — for a limited period, as any web host does. They exist to serve pages and to identify abuse, and are handled under Vercel's privacy policy.
Machine-readable content
The site publishes a machine-readable mirror of its public content at /llms.txt, /ai.json and /ai/*.md. These contain only what is already on the public pages. The site's robots.txt declares that its content may be used for search and as AI input, but not for training.
Children
The site is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be described rather than quietly folded in.
