Biography

I moved from Kyiv to the United States at 17 due to the war, an experience that accelerated my independence and discipline. Over the past several years I have focused on building a stable foundation through mathematics, engineering, and structured self-improvement. I am currently an Applied Mathematics student with interests in statistical and stochastic modeling, computational systems, and practical software engineering. I am drawn to problems that require both analytical reasoning and implementation discipline. Outside academics, I train regularly, compete in collegiate chess, and spend time repairing or building physical systems. I prefer understanding how things work at a structural level rather than treating them as black boxes. Family, sport, and long-term personal development are central priorities in my life.

"I value reliability, clarity, and control in any system I build. A solution is not complete unless it can be debugged, extended, and trusted under stress. I prefer correct structure over short-term shortcuts. Efficiency matters, but only after a system is understandable and stable. My approach is test-driven and model-oriented: identify structure, remove weak points, and iterate until behavior is predictable. Pressure does not disrupt good systems — it reveals them."
